Beyonce looking stunning on the latest issue of the Gentlewoman.
Favourite British magazine, created by photographer Penny Martin, editor in chief.
I was quite absorbed by the conversational lecture she gave at Frieze Art Fair in Regent's Park, London, in 2009.
That was the year she launched the bi-annual publication.
Have been collecting it ever since.
It is such a great magazine portraying inspirational woman and featuring outstanding editorials.
Love its intelligent and modern perspective on personal style, issue after issue.

Je me souviens avoir été captivée par la conférence qu'elle donna en 2009 à la Frieze Art Fair à Regent's Park, Londres.
C'était l'année du lancement de cette publication bi-annuelle.
Je la collectionne depuis.
C'est un magazine fascinant qui dresse le portrait de femmes inspirantes et propose de magnifiques éditoriaux.
J'adore sa perspective intelligente et moderne sur la notion de style personnel, numéro après numéro.

FROM THE CATWALK - MILAN, LONDON, STOCKHOLM

Few other inspiring looks straight from FW13 catwalk.

1/ N°21 by Alessandro Dell'Acqua : want to DIY straight away sequins on the pocket of my check shirt.  

2/ Erdem - wow! in love with this new proposition for black tweed. The cropped top would look perfect with denim, vice-versa I would wear the transparent hemmed pencil skirt with a denim shirt. Loving the inspiration on Ingmar Bergmann's Persona 

3/ Hernandez Cornet : the hot swedish label - this look is particularly chic. Interesting idea of the transparent sweater under fabric overalls.

Un mix de mes looks préférés des défilés Hiver13.

1/ No21 by Alessandro Dell'Acqua : bien envie de DIY avec des paillettes la poche de ma chemise tartan.

2/ Erdem - wow! j'adore sa nouvelle proposition autour du tweed noir. Le top court serait parfait avec un jean, vice-versa je rêve de porter la jupe crayon à bordure transparente avec une chemise en jean. Très belle inspiration autour du film Persona de Ingmar Bergmann

3/ Hernandez Cornet: la marque suédoise qui monte - tellement chic ce look.  Bien vu le sweater transparent sous une salopette en coton.

I ♡ RIHANNA x RIVER ISLAND

 

So yes,  I absolutely loved Rihanna's collection for River Island.

I know the collection presented in London has been hugely criticized, specially by the British media and I don't think it is quite fair.
Of course we are not talking high-end here but hello (!),  that was never the purpose.
So for what it is - i.e. high-street -  I think Rihanna and her team have achieved a brilliant exercice.
There is a mix of Ri-ri's identity pieces, some colourful trendy pieces (quite Kenzo inspired) and finally my favourite category, a series of perfect dresses, jumpsuits, cropped tops and open-side maxi skirts that are timeless, easy to wear and sassy like her.
Amazing show mix-tape too with Kanye West & Jay-Z -Clique and  Fuckin Problems by Lil Wayne & Drake.

J'avoue j'ai complètement adoré la collection de Rihanna pour River Island.

Je trouve d'ailleurs que les critiques négatives autour de la collection présentée à Londres, spécialement de la part des médias Britanniques, ne sont vraiment pas justifiées. 
Bien sûr, on ne parle pas de haut-de-gamme mais hello (!) cela n'a jamais été le but de la collection. 
Pour ce qu'elle est, c'est à dire de la high-street, je trouve que Rihanna et son équipe ont réalisé un très bon job. 
On y trouve un mix de pièces identitaires Ri-ri, de la tendance colorée (d'inspiration Kenzo) et finalement ma catégorie favorite, une série parfaite de robes, combis, petits tops et jupes longues fendues qui sont intemporelles, faciles à porter et un peu impertinentes, comme la star. 
Une mix-tape qui envoie du lourd Clique de Kanye West & Jay-Z puis  Fuckin Problems de Lil Wayne & Drake.

& Other Stories, the latest brand addition to the H&M empire, is due to open shops in key European capitals this Spring. 

So far, i really like the idea behind the brand and product-mix, as to offer long-lasting alluring pieces.

Wardrobe treasures with endless styling possibilities. 

They have been serving us with an interesting mysterious imagery through their series of short teaser videos, like this one.

It is telling the beginning of their story, keeping a place of choice for the unexpected.

& Other Stories, la dernière marque en date de l'empire H&M, va ouvrir des boutiques dans des capitales ciblées en Europe au Printemps. 

De ce que j'ai vu, j'aime vraiment l'idée derrière la marque et le mix produit; celle d'offrir des pièces qui ont de l'allure et qui durent.

Un vestiaire composé de trésors qui promettent des possibilités stylistiques infinies. 

Ils nous présentent une imagerie un peu mystérieuse au travers de leurs séries de petites vidéos teasers comme celle-ci.

Elle raconte le début de leur histoire, en gardant une place de choix pour l'imprévu.
